What is BARTR?

BARTR is a platform where people exchange services and skills directly with one another. You choose who to work with, what you offer, and how you exchange value.

Terms of Service

Welcome to BARTR! By using the BARTR app, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.

2. User Responsibilities

• You agree to use BARTR only for lawful purposes.
• You will not upload or share content that is illegal, fraudulent, harmful, or offensive.
• You are responsible for your interactions and agreements with other users.

3. Service Exchanges & Payments

• Users are free to exchange services and skills with any other user.
• Users may negotiate independent cash-for-service arrangements at their own risk; these are not part of the App’s exchange system.
• BARTR is intended to be a money-free platform. The primary purpose is for users to exchange skills and services without using cash.
• While users may independently choose to use money when exchange values differ, this is voluntary and outside the App’s intended cash-free model.
• BARTR has a default system for when a cashless exchange is not completed. If users start an exchange using the in-app Start Exchange feature and agree to a default fee, that fee may be charged to the user who does not fulfill their service.
• This system applies only to Start Exchange agreements and not to any independent cash arrangements users make outside the App.
• Users are responsible for understanding the terms of any exchange they enter into and for complying with applicable laws.

4. Prohibited Activities

• No harassment, scams, medical or health advice, sexual solicitation, fraud, or illegal activity.
• No attempts to disrupt or hack the App.
• No posting of offensive or unlawful material.

5. Limitation of Liability

BARTR is a platform to connect users. We are not responsible for the outcome of user-to-user agreements. Use of the App is at your own risk.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated version.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Delaware law.

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 7, 2025

BARTR (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the BARTR mobile app.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Name, email address, profile photo.
• Location: Approximate location for service matching.
• User Content: Posts, messages, and other content you create.
• Device Data: Diagnostics (via Firebase Crashlytics) and usage data (via Firebase Analytics).
• Payment Information: If a payment is required in the event of a default between users, we securely process card information through trusted third-party providers (e.g., Stripe or PayPal). We do not store your full payment details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To connect you with other users for service exchange.
• To maintain app security and performance.
• To resolve disputes, including charging a payment method in case of default.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing of Information

• We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
• We may share limited information with service providers (e.g., payment processors, hosting).
• We may disclose data if required by law or to prevent fraud or illegal activity.

4. Your Choices

• You can opt out of analytics in your app settings.
• Account Deletion: Contact us at support@thebartr.com to delete your account and associated data. Account deletion is also available in-app.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by Delaware state law.

Customer Agreement

Effective Date: September 7, 2025

This Agreement governs your use of the BARTR app, operated by The BARTR (“we,” “us,” “our”). By creating an account or using BARTR, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use BARTR.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and provide accurate, up-to-date account information.

2. Role of BARTR

BARTR provides a platform for users to connect and exchange verified skills and services. We are not a party to transactions between users. Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not involved in any BARTR transactions, obligations, or disputes.

3. User Responsibilities

• You are responsible for your conduct and compliance with applicable laws.
• You may not use BARTR for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of all information you provide, including service descriptions and payments.

4. Transactions

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By using BARTR, you agree to Stripe’s Services Agreement and Privacy Policy. Users set their own exchange terms and are solely responsible for fulfillment.

5. Fees

BARTR may charge service or transaction fees when users default on agreements, disclosed before completion of each transaction.

6. Disputes Between Users

Users must resolve disputes directly. BARTR does not provide refunds, mediation, or guarantees of performance.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of this Agreement or misuse of BARTR. You may stop using BARTR and request account deletion at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

BARTR is provided “as is” without warranties. BARTR, its affiliates, and partners are not liable for damages arising from your use of BARTR or transactions between users.

9. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Delaware, U.S.A., with exclusive jurisdiction in its courts.

10. Acceptance

By creating an account or using BARTR, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Agreement.
